Airbnb: Durban experience

For my birthday weekend, my family and I decided to run away from the busy city of Johannesburg where we live to go to the beach. As it was five of us we wanted a entire house for ourselves. Airbnb was the solution to what we wanted. The simple and easy to use app generate thousands of houses, bedrooms and luxurious mansions to suit all budgets.

We found a beautiful three bedrooms house in Bluff Durban called My destiny holiday home. The pictures looked great, it was within our budget and the house was situated close to the beach. The day we arrived, the house looked exactly as what we saw on the pictures, plus a little treat was prepared for us by the lovely Jabu as a welcome gift. Little attention always goes a long way. The owner of the house Beverley, although we didn’t physically meet her, she was only a phone call away ready to help and answer our questions.

Our stay to My destiny holiday home felt like home. Beverley paid attention to small details. Each of the bedroom had its own character and colors, and of course the girls took the master bedroom. The fully equipped kitchen was my favorite part of the house. As students in Johannesburg our house only has what we really need. That kitchen had all sort of set from pots, cutlery, plates and all sort of glasses ( glasses for every drinks). the kitchen also had colorful plates and cups suitable for little ones and with no danger of breaking them.

The house is situated only 10 minutes walk from different beaches. We had our everyday walk to the beach before starting the day. The area was secured and calm, the neighbors were friendly, we had no problem not even a monkey visit in the house although Jabu did warn us about them.

Our overall experience with Airbnb in Durban at My destiny holiday home was amazing. I really recommend to check My destiny holiday home next time you plan a trip to Durban with family up to six people.

Thanks for the great stay Beverley and Jabu
