Love Lives Here: Review

On the 28 of March 2019, I had the privilege to attend the premiere of one of the most anticipated movie in Mzanzi: Love Lives Here. I must admit that before going to the event, I watched the trailer of just to get insights of what to expect and I was like “another romantic movie”.

Love Lives Here premier: review

If by the title you already think that it is just another romantic movie like me, let me tell you, you are not ready for how the all movie will unfold. The main character Thando Thabethe,Lungile Radu, Zola Nombona, Andile Gumbi, Motlatsi Mafatshe, Nomalanga Shozi and Nkanyiso Bhengu put their A game and fully embraced their role in the movie.

I have know Thando Thabethe from the South African soapies Generations The legacy. When I saw that she was going to play the main character, I knew the movie was going to be awesome. The best moment was taking a picture with her ( I know my first picture with a celebrity)

The premiere was held at The NuMetro Hyde Park corner in Johannesburg. The theme was red carpet ready and I must say thank you to my friend Kkaribu for my amazing dress.

For my first time at a movie premier, the experience was amazing. Everything was free and I mean everything. From the usually popcorn and soda, free cocktails, free chicken, free kebabs, water, everything was ready to be eaten. My partner and I enjoyed the atmosphere, it almost felt like you belong to a new close community. We also got goodies bag from the sponspors waiting for us on our VIP seats.

Love Lives Here is a MUST watch movie, a proudly South African movie. It is not a family movie, the movie is not suitable for people under the age of 16. My advice for you will be watching it with your significant one or for a girls night out. The movie is about a young lady caught between wanting love or marriage. During the movie, you will laugh, get lost, be surprised, be sad, laugh out loud and try to predict hat will happen next then boom you will have that ” I didn’t see that coming” moment. It is a movie full of emotions.

Take out your diary or phones and save the date. The movie will be out in cinemas on the 5th of April 2019 which is next Friday!! Thank me later for giving you ideas for your next weekend.

Thank you to my new friend Melanie for inviting me at the premiere of the movie LOVE LIVES HERE

Till next time
