Mrs South Africa Earth: She is pretty down to Earth

We have all heard about Miss South Africa, Miss Universe, Miss World or SA Teen Ambassador which cater for pretty young female aged between 15 and 28 years old. Their requirement are pretty simple : the contest shouldn’t be married or have kids and the list goes on. That is why they call it MISS which means single ladies. There was a need to create a beauty pageant which caters for the gorgeous mothers and wives out there and at the same time preserve mother nature. I was fortunate enough to receive an invitation and hear from the founders themselves what this new beauty pageant with a purpose in Mzanzi ( South Africa) was all about.

Launch: Review

Mrs South Africa Earth launch was held on the 2nd of April 2019 at the Michelangelo Hotel in Sandton and the theme was dress to impress. I had an amazing time attending their launch, the tables set up were pretty with the logo printed on a cheese board and a USB key which were our little gifts of thanks for attending the launch.

The breakfast menu was appealing and I had the most delicious mini croissants felt like it came straight from Paris ( I am sure they had a French baker).

I got the chance to meet and talk with amazing people. I met another blogger face to face for the first time. We follow each other without knowing the real names, we had the chance to put faces to the Instagram handles. That the funniest thing about blogging. Being virtual friends and read each other’s work but will probably never meet face to face. I also got another celebrity selfie with the gorgeous MC Gail Mabalane.

Mrs South Africa Earth: She is pretty down to Earth

The first of the kind beauty pageant in South Africa with a purpose: preserving mother nature. It is the first black owned female pageant. The founders, Ndihone Ndzinisa, Sizani Ngobeni and Thando Soko are three beautiful wives, mothers and entrepreneurs passionate about uplifting life of women in their communities.

In their press release, the founders gave the reason for this new pageant. They said:

Mrs SA Earth is a pageant with purpose. Close to that of Miss Earth, Mrs SA Earth is about appealing to woman who are trying to make a difference in their community or city by pledging themselves to an environmental or social development cause. Mrs South Africa Earth is a powerful and very relevant vehicle to raise the voices of women in their prime who are doing good, but at the heart of the pageant is the preservation of Mother Earth in any shape or form across all industries and market sectors in the political, economic and social spheres.

Moreover, their NPO ( non profit organisation), Mother Earth by Mothers is the driving force behind this pageant that focuses on providing a platform for women to achieve their dreams and positively influence their community whilst also giving thought and action to the preservation of the world around them.
