10 reasons you should do more road trips

Traveling alone, with your squad, with your family or your partner, road trips are one of the most amazing way to travel and discover the world around you. Everyone should experience at least one road trip in his or her life. Road trip is my favorite way to travel and here are 10 reasons I love about road trips.

10 reasons you should do more road trips.

1. You can see the real world: you can see actual communities, natural wonders along the way and see for yourself how people live in particular area.

2. You are free and have more time: you are in complete control of when you start your trip, when you stop, for how long and where. You are free to relax, take one step at the time and change you itinerary as you wish.

3. You meet new people: outside of what you know, what you are used to, there are plenty of new people to meet and create new friendship. Good people still exist ans sometimes strangers can have better intentions toward you than people you know for years.

4. You are going on an adventure: even if you plan everything into details, you can never be 100% sure about what’s going to happen.

5. You create memories for life: you create beautiful memories with the people you share your road trip with. You will cherish those moments for life

6. You get to see a lot of things in a short period of time: you get to see and explore so many different areas during your road trip before reaching your final destination.

7. You become more spontaneous: you become a more spontaneous person after a road trip and you will always be ready for the next adventure.

8. You will become better at solving problems: unexpected things always happen when you travel especially during a road trip and you have to think, fix them and adjust. All that will help you improve your ability to solve problems.

9. Strengthen your bond with your mates: travel with family, partners or friends require you to work as a team to make the most out of your road trip. You will be forced to spend a lot of time together, see each other almost 24/7 and you will get to see new side of everyone;s personality.

10. You will want to do more road trips: after your first successful road trip, you will want to go on more road trips more often

  1. i am so glad you made this post. i was considering venturing out and traveling a little more in 2020, and a few short road trips will be a great idea.

    1. Yes indeed, if you’re not an adventurer going solo can feel lonely. You can always join a group of people going on a roadtrip or plan one with your friends and family.

  4. I love taking road trips for many of the reasons you listed! My favorite thing about a road trip is that it can be more spontaneous than a trip by plane because you control when you leave and where you’re going. I would love to squeeze one more road trip into 2019 before it’s over!

    1. Absolutely, with roadtrips you’re in control of your time and you can always change your mind while driving and go to a different place than planned😅
      Oh yeah, I love the spirit, you still have a week to squeeze in your last roadtrip😁

  7. My partner and I try to do short road trips every year. You’re right–they are fun, and give you the chance to see a side of people you don’t see in day-to-day life. Longer times in the car can be good for deep conversation, singing along to favorite songs, or daydreaming about the future. Thank you for this post; I enjoyed it.

  14. Great post. I never thought about road trips in this sense. I always just jump on a plane but I think it would be fun to do some road trips this coming year.

  16. I have not taken a road trip in over a year however I was just talking about doing so when things settle on my end. Your reasons for more road trips are dead on and your photos definitely remind me of the fun i used to have!

  17. Loved the point you made about learning to solve problems. You are so right when you say that odd things happen on road trips where you have to think outside the box. It does make every trip more memorable too.
