I have asked my society on Instagram to ask me questions to get to know me a little better. Here are the most interesting questions they have asked.
1. Tell us a little bit about you?
Divine is my real name, I am a Congolese currently living in South Africa. I am currently completing my studies in IR (International Relations) and Political Sciences and blogging has been my hobby since late 2017. I also enjoy doing events. I come across as a very shy person when you don’t know me and a crazy girl once we become close friend.
2. What does selflovies_society means?
I wanted to create a community where like minded people could come together, be their true self without judgement, doing what they love and thrive to be the best version of themselves every single day. I had a section on my blog where I interview random people who are thriving to be the best version of themselves. I wanted to have an unique name which represents everyone that is how I came up with selflovies_society
3. What is your dream job?
My dream job is not having a job at all. I means when I do something I love and enjoy doing with all my heart, I don’t consider it as a job. Doing what I am passionate about is not a job for me.
4. What is the best part about what you do?
It is the fact that I really don’t see it as a job (blogging , my studies and events planning), I just follow my heart and give my all at 100%
5. Tell us what is the one thing you still can’t believe you did in 2019?
So many great things happened in 2019 that it is hard to just choose one thing I can’t believe I did. If I have to really choose one thing, it would be the amazing Sandy Land Getaway 2019
6. How do you describe yourself in three words?
Kind, Smart and strong
7. How do you face your emotional breakdown?
I let myself be, I cry over it, I let myself feel the pain and acknowledge that I am hurt. I also call my best friend and let everything out and then take a well deserved nap. Sometimes I just write everything that is bothering me on paper and I burn it once I am down. It is never step by step process when dealing with emotional breakdown, I let myself be and take one step at the time.
8. What is your dream vacation?
My dream vacation would be one with all the people I love on a private island. my ultimate dream vacation would be visiting 12 different countries in a year. One country per month.
9. How long does it take you to write a blog post?
It depends. Sometimes, it takes me a day to draft, edit and schedule the post. Some other time it takes me a month to put everything together and be happy about how the post looks like. That is why planning in advance has been working for me.
10. Where do you see yourself in five years?
I hate answering this question because I believe things are forever changing and evolving including myself. I rather have a one year plan to allow me to adjust and redefine everything I want from life.
What else do you want to know about me?
Till next time
Happy New Year 2020

I love your name. I like the concept that doing what your passionate about is not really “job”. That’s a great way of looking at it.

Yes, I have always had this conception. Doing what you’re passionate about is part of you, of who you are.
Thanks for reading and happy new year🙂

So much I love about what you are doing here:
